GOMBAK (September 17): The Selangor government is allocating RM400,000 for upgrading of Taman Tasik Seri Gombak , said Gombak Setia State Assemblyman Muhammad Hilman Idham today.
He said the fund had been channeled to the Selayang Municipal Council and work on the project was scheduled to begin next year.
The project would involve turning the lake site into a green area and providing facilities for the public to carry out recreational activities, he said after a “Merdeka Sihat” programme at the lake here today.
The programme drew the participation of about 800 people who took part in various activities that were held, including a run, fitness test, sepak raga and zumba dance.
It was held to strengthen ties and unity among local residents, as well as to promote healthy lifestyle. — Bernama
